Heidi Montag of "The Hills" is returning to reality television with a new VH1 show, tentatively called "Famous Food," which will see her and others try to open a restaurant.

The series also stars Ashley Dupre, the call girl at the center of the Elliot Spitzer sex scandal in 2008, former "Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast member Danielle Staub, Vincent Pastore from "The Sopranos" and DJ Paul and Juicy "J" from the rap group Three 6 Mafia.

The group will try to open and operate a Los Angeles restaurant. They will complete tasks such as "renovating the space, agreeing on a restaurant concept, creating marketing plans, crafting a menu, hiring the staff and eventually, ensuring a flawless grand-opening," a VH1 statement said.

After the eatery's launch, the "most valuable star" with be given a partnership stake in the restaurant. The show, composed of 10 1-hour episodes, will debut in the fall, VH1 said in a statement.

Montag "not only has a passion for food, but also knows a thing or two about the restaurant business, especially after dealing with the unfortunate demise of her parent's restaurant," it added.

Celebrities who have opened or are affiliated with existing restaurants include Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro and Eva Longoria.

Montag is known for her role on the MTV reality show "The Hills," which also featured her husband Spencer Pratt, the series' villain. The show ended last year. The couple also starred on the reality series "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!."

Montag made her big-screen acting deput in the movie "Just Go With It," which stars Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.

In November 2010, Montag and Pratt renewed their wedding vows after almost divorcing. Also that month, Life & Style magazine reported that Pratt and Montag were bankrupt, adding that they owe about $2 million in taxes. The two have not commented publicly.

Audrina Patridge, who also appeared on "The Hills," recently launched her own spinoff show, "Audrina."
