Heidi Klum saves son, Henry, from drowning during Hawaii vacation
Heidi Klum experienced the scare of her life during a family vacation in Hawaii, when her son Henry, 7, and his two nannies got caught in a riptide while swimming in the sea off the coast of Oahu.
Thankfully, the 39-year-old German supermodel and reality star was able to rescue them, with the help of her boyfriend and bodyguard, Martin Kirsten.
"We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water," Klum said in a statement to People magazine on April 1. "Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely."
Klum, host of "Project Runway" and new co-judge of "America's Got Talent," and her estranged husband Seal also have three other children - Leni, Johan and Lou.
