Heather Locklear, Jack Wagner call off engagement
Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner have called off their engagement, it was reported on Tuesday, November 15, three months after the longtime couple announced their plans to wed.
Locklear, 50, and Wagner, 52, began dating in 2007, a year after she and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, her second husband, ended their some12-year marriage. Wagner played Locklear's love interest on the original "Melrose Place" drama series in the 1990s.
The actress' spokesperson had no immediate comment as to whether Locklear and Wagner were still together following news of their canceled engagement, as reported by People magazine.
On the primetime drama series "Melrose Place," which ran between 1992 and 1999, Locklear and Wagner played on-again, off-again couple Amanda Woodward, a ruthless advertising executive, and Peter Burns, a doctor. Locklear reprised her role in a short-lived remake in 2010. Wagner currently plays Nick Marone on the CBS daytime soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful."
This is not the first time Wagner became engaged to an on-screen love interest.
In the 1980s and early 1990s, he and his first wife, Kristina Wagner, starred together on ABC soap opera "General Hospital," playing power couple Andrew 'Frisco' Jones and Felicia Cummings. The actors wed in real life in 1993 and divorced in 2006. They have two sons - Peter, 21, and Harrison, 16.
Locklear and Sambora have one child, a 14-year-old daughter named Ava, who is a model and is set to appear in Judd Apatow's new comedy film that is set for release in 2012.
Sambora was Locklear's second husband. The actress was married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee between 1986 and 1993. They have no children.
