Gwyneth Paltrow talks 'Glee' return - spoilers

03/08/2011 by Corinne Heller

Gwyneth Paltrow reprises her role as "kooky" substitute teacher Holly Holiday on the FOX musical sitcom "Glee" on Tuesday, March 8, and heats things up with the glee club's Mr. Schue.

Warning: Spoiler Alert!

During the episode, Paltrow's character will teach sexual education and will reportedly perform Joan Jett's "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)"," Prince's '80s hit, "Kiss" and Stevie Nicks' song "Landslide." Nicks visited the show's set in February.

"She's just her regular, old, kooky self, getting into all kinds of trouble, bordering on inappropriate," Paltrow said about Holiday, in an interview provided by FOX.

The Oscar-winning actress has for the past few months showed off her singing chops on both "Glee" and in the film "Country Strong." She performed at the 2011 Academy Awards in February.

"Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy has said she would be returning for two episodes as Mr. Schue's love interest and that the duet of "Kiss" will purportedly include a lip-lock for the two actors.

During her last guest-star spot on "Glee," Paltrow filled in for a Spanish teacher and performed a cover of Cee Lo's "Forget You." The two performed the song at the 2011 Grammy Awards.

"I always sang but just kind of at home and it's been great to get out there and sing," Paltrow said.

Meanwhile, comedian Kathy Griffin and "Grey's Anatomy" actress Loretta Devine are set to guest star on "Glee", playing judges for Regionals.

On the March 15 episode, the cast will reportedly tackle two original songs.

Paltrow's "Glee" return episode will air on March 8, 2011 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. Watch a sneak peak below.
