Gwyneth Paltrow pens cookbook - is she the next Martha Stewart?

Gwyneth Paltrow has released a cookbook, "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness," which was inspired by her late dad.

However, the 38-year-old Oscar-winning actress says she is not looking to become the next Martha Stewart.

"There's only one Martha," Gwyneth Paltrow told ABC morning show "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, April 13, regarding the food and home decorating expert. "I'm not looking to do a food empire or anything like that. I'm a working mom. I'm busy. It's just kind of like how I cook at home and how I do it."

The actress is known for her love for organic food and once underwent a strict macrobiotic diet. Paltrow's book contains some 150 recipes for things like blueberry muffins, cheese-stuffed burgers and maple-Dijon roasted winter vegetables.

The actress' father, Bruce Paltrow, a director and television writer, died in 2002 at age 58. The two were very close.

"He was amazing man," she said. "In a lot of ways he taught me about love and about how to live a happy life, which is just to invest in the relationships of the people that you love and he did a lot with food and him cooking for us and us cooking together."

"We used to watch the Food Network all the time and we'd cuddle up on the couch and watch cooking shows," she added. "It just became another way that we bonded. We loved to watch football and cook. When I had my daughter I was so obsessed with health and everything organic and homemade but then my dad taught me that there's nothing like a Mallomar and Root Beer float."

Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin, singer of the British rock band Coldplay, are parents to daughter Apple, 6, and son Moses, 5.

Meanwhile, the actress is also keeping busy with her acting career. Paltrow appeared in the musical film "Country Strong" earlier this year and can be seen reprising her role as bubbly teacher Holly Holiday on the FOX musical comedy series "Glee" when it returns from its second season hiatus on April 19.
