Rapper Gucci Mane has reportedly been indicted on an assault charge after allegedly hitting a soldier with a champagne bottle.

According to the local Atlanta news station WSB, the 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, was indicted on one count of aggravated assault on Tuesday, April 9. Drew Findling, a lawyer for Gucci Mane, told The Associated Press on April 10, that a judge has set a $75,000 bond for the rapper.

The rapper was arrested in March after James Lettley, from Fort Hood, Texas, told authorities that on March 15, Mane smashed a champagne bottle on his head at the Harlem Nights club. Lettley told WSB at the time that he had approached the rapper in the VIP section and asked to take a picture with him.

Lettley serves in the Army and returned from deployment in Afghanistan in October. He told WSB that after the rapper stuck him on the head, a friend of the rapper then hit him on the side of his face and that he later got 10 stitches on his head at a hospital.

The rapper has served time in jail for violent incidents. In 2011, he spent three months behind bars for pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle. He had two jail stints in 2008 and late 2009 for violating his probation over past assault charges. In 2005, he was arrested on suspicion of murder following the deadly shooting of another rapper. The charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

Mane is known for songs such as "Wasted," "Trap Back" and "Steady Mobbin" and also acts occasionally. He recently had a role in the film "Spring Breakers" with Selena Gomez, James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens.
