'Green Lantern' trailer released - watch now

Ryan Reynolds plays the title character in "The Green Lantern," a 2011 film based on the DC comic book superhero who uses a power ring that concerts his ideas and willpower into energy as he tries to fight evil.

The actor, who was recently named the "Sexiest Man Alive" of 2010 by People magazine, told OnTheRedCarpet.com in July that shooting scenes for " Green Lantern" in a motion capture suit was "the weirdest experience ever."

The 34-year-old Canadian actor, has been married to actress Scarlett Johansson, who was recently named "Babe of the Year" by GQ magazine, since 2008.

"The Green Lantern" is set for release on June 17, 2011 and also stars "Gossip Girl" actress Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, the love interest of the Green Lantern's alter-ego, Hal Jordan.
