Gordon Ramsay and Will Ferrell suffered some minor injuries during a celebrity charity soccer game on May 27 in Manchester, England.

Ramsay left the game on a stretcher and ended up in the hospital, according to People magazine. The 45-year-old celebrity chef was tackled at the Soccer Aid game by former professional player Teddy Sheringham. Ramsay was given oxygen off the field.

"Thx 4 all the messages," Ramsay Tweeted on May 28. "Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine Gx."

Ramsay injured his back, according to a statement from his spokesperson given to ITV.

"He was released after receiving treatment and although he's in pain today, there shouldn't be any long term damage," the spokesperson said.

Ferrell reportedly suffered a leg injury and limped off the field. Other celebrities who participated in the match included Woody Harrelson, Mike Meyers and Edward Norton. The game raised more than $6.4 million for UNICEF.

Ramsay is known for his competition series "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef" as well as his reality show "Kitchen Nightmares." He had been awarded 13 Michelin stars and has restaurants all over the world.

Will Ferrell is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film "The Campaign" with Zach Galifianakis on August 10. He's also been teasing the release of "Anchorman 2," due out in 2013.
