The rock band the Goo Goo Dolls, which rose to fame in the 1990s with hits such as "Iris" and "Slide", is set to release its ninth studio album, Something For the Rest of Us, on Tuesday, marking its first major release in four years.

The group, led by singer and guitarist John Rzeznik, was formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York.

In 1995, with the release of the group's fifth studio album, A Boy Named Goo, the band began to rule the American charts and became an international success after "Iris", a song off their sixth album Dizzy Up the Girl, appeared on the soundtrack of the hit Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan romantic drama City of Angels in 1998, with a tear-jerking video to boot.

The band plans to tour North America and the United Kingdom in the fall, beginning on September 5 in the Canadian city of Mount Pearl.

The track listing for the Something For the Rest of Us album is as follows:

1. "Sweetest Lie"
2. "As I Am"
3. "Home"
4. "Notbroken"
5. "One Night"
6. "Nothing Is Real"
7. "Now I Hear"
8. "Still Your Song"
9. "Something For The Rest Of Us"
10. "Say You're Free"
11. "Hey Ya"
12. "Soldier"
