"For years, people have been publishing that I actually have declared that I would be interested in serving in the political scene, somewhere, somehow, some day," Grammer told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "That remains true. I just don't know what it might be or what capacity. It won't happen until I've decided I'm going to quit being an actor."
In 2011, Grammer also went through some personal drama. He and his third wife, Camille, finalized their divorce after being married since 1997. They have two sons together. Grammer wed his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, weeks later, in February. She had become pregnant with his fifth child in 2010 but suffered a miscarriage.
KELSEY GRAMMER, WIFE EXPECTING BABIES
On Sunday, Grammer revealed that he and his wife, who accompanied him to the Golden Globes, are expecting again - this time, twins.
"I'm really looking forward to meeting these new arrivals in our lives," he said backstage after his Golden Globe win.
"Twins, wow, and what kind of mother do you think your wife will make?" a reporter asked him, to which Grammer responded: "Extraordinary. She's one of the loving, amazing, warm, human being I've ever met. She's funny and serious, scary and humorous all at the same time. She's an amazing person and I think she'll blow them away."
"It doesn't really change your life ... I mean, it wouldn't change the way I work, certainly. It just might change the amount of time I have to work," he added about his babies. "I'm looking forward to meeting them."
