Chris Colfer won the Golden Globe Award for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television" on Sunday for his role as Kurt in the FOX musical comedy series "Glee," marking the actor's first win and first nomination.
He beat Scott Caan of "Hawaii Five-O," Chris Noth of "The Good Wife," Eric Stonestreet of "Modern Family" and David Strathairn of "Temple Grandin."
"Glee" began in 2009 and depicts the lives of the misfits and popular kids in a high school glee club. The students perform contemporary top 40 music as well as older tracks and songs from musicals and the show has featured guest stars such as Britney Spears and film actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
The show has been nominated for a Golden Globe nine times and is also up for a Grammy nod this year.
