Annette Bening won the Golden Globe Award for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical" on Sunday for her role in "The Kids are All Right," marking the actress' second win and sixth nomination.

Bening beat her co-star Julianne Moore, Anne Hathaway of "Love & Other Drugs," Angelina Jolie of "The Tourist" and Emma Stone of "Easy A."

"The Kids Are All Right" stars Bening and Julianne Moore as a lesbian couple. In the film, their children find their biological father and the womens' sperm donor, played by Mark Ruffalo, and bring him into the family's lives.

Bening has won a Golden Globe for her role in the 2004 movie "Being Julia" and has been nominated for Oscars for that movie as well as the films "American Beauty" and "The Grifters."

"If it's told honestly, it transcends even the most wacky ideas," Ruffalo told OnTheRedCarpet.com in July.
