'Glee's Lea Michele awarded 'triple threat' by Billboard
On Thursday "Glee" star Lea Michele will be recognized as a "triple threat" by Billboard magazine during their annual "Women in Music" luncheon in New York City. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie will also be honored at the event.
"We worked so hard over here at 'Glee' and we put together these mini-movies every week that is filled with dancing and singing," Michele told The Associated Press. "It feels like such a nice sort of wonderful recognition."
The 24-year-old Emmy-nominated actress tells the wire service that despite the chart-topping success of the songs from the series, unlike like cast members Matthew Morrison and Mark Salling, she's not ready to put an album just yet.
"I really am taking my time with making an album. ... It will be somewhere in my future but right now we are so busy over here," Michele said. "I feel like I've already sort of made albums."
