"About eight weeks in we went for a routine ultrasound and the nurse looked very concerned," The View's website quoted Giuliana Rancic, a 36-year-old E! Entertainment Television host, as saying.

"She brought in the doctor and he looked concerned," she said. "So he said 'Go wait for me in my office Im going to review this a little more.' And when we were in there he came in...and we just knew that something wrong. And I broke down and I couldnt believe it."

"He said it was a chromosomal issue,' she said. "That it was actually a blessing in disguise. The body was doing its job."

Bill Rancic, 39, is the first winner of Donald Trump's reality show The Apprentice. The couple married in 2007 and launched their own reality show, Giuliana & Bill. They said earlier this year that they had begun trying to have a baby. Giuliana Rancic said she had fertility problems and planned to start In Vitro Fertilisation to try and conceive.

"We are really looking at all of our options," she says in Friday's interview. "I mean, listen whether its IVF or whatever it is, we want to have a baby and we will have a baby."
