Gabrielle Union banned from sitting courtside by boyfriend Dwyane Wade
Gabrielle Union, who stars in the new film "Think Like a Man," apparently thinks like a bully when she's courtside at boyfriend Dwayne Wade's NBA games.
Union, who has appeared in films like "10 Things I Hate About You," "Bad Boys II" and "Bring It On," visited "Conan" on April 19 and said that her constant heckling got her moved back in the stands at the Miami Heat games because her badgering became distracting.
"I'm bad. A, I don't sit courtside, that got killed when I became as vocal," Union told Conan O'Brien. "I'm like dance mom. I've become like Bobby Knight and like The Great Santini, it's bad. [I scream] like 'brick!' and 'air ball!'"
Union was not only guilty of heckling the opposing team, but also of teasing Wade, who she has been dating since 2006. When asked why she goes after her own hubby, the actress quipped, "Who's gonna tell him if not me?"
The referees are also not immune to the actress' sharp tongue she explained, "Recently, like maybe last week, there was an older ref, perhaps it was Dick Bavetta and I said 'you'll get your Viagra if you just make a call.'"
Union was on the late night talk show to promote her new film, "Think Like a Man," a romantic comedy starring Chris Brown, Kevin Hart, Kelly Rowland, Taraji P. Henson and Jerry Ferrara, who played Turtle on "Entourage." The movie is based on a book by Steve Harvey and hit theaters on April 20.
The 39-year-old actress and Nebraska native started out with small television roles on shows as "Family Matters," "Moesha," "Sister, Sister," "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" before landing the recurring part of Keesha Hamilton on "7th Heaven."
In 1999, she played Katie in the teen comedy "She's All That" and Chastity, the "frenemy" of high school princess Bianca, in the film "10 Things I Hate About You." In 2000, she played a cheerleader from a rival high school who goes up against Kirsten Dunst's character and her squad in the movie "Bring It On."
Union went on to star on shows such as "Night Stalker," "Ugly Betty" and the short-lived ABC show "FlashForward." She also played Geneva Wade in the 2008 film "Cadillac Records."
