Entertainment News: gabourey sidibe
"American Horror Story" co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter to reveal some casting news about the show's next season.
"Thrilled to announce Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of 'American Horror Story: Coven,'" he Tweeted on Monday, April 29.
Gabourey Sidibe, who earned an Oscar nomination for playing a troubled, obese and pregnant teenager in the 2009 movie "Precious," says Joan Cusack once told her she should quit show business.
Sidibe, 28, made her comments on a recent episode of the Bravo talk show "Watch What Happens Live," when asked by host Andy Cohen about which celebrity disappointed her the most.
Gabourey Sidibe and Casey Affleck might be big stars, but they could relate to their "Tower Heist" character's thieving pursuits.
"I remember, it's a terrible story, I went on a class trip to the Empire State Building," Sidibe told OnTheRedCarpet.com at a press junket for the film. "I was in junior high and all of the kids were stealing things from the souvenir shop cause there were so many people in there that you just couldn't do anything [to stop it]. And I kind of wanted to fit in, remember I was like 12, and I stole a Statue of Liberty keychain. And then I lost it on the way home, 'cause that's karma."
