Fran Drescher, star of "Happily Divorced" and "The Nanny," is set to officiate the wedding ceremony of one same-sex couple in New York City on March 6.

The couple, Tom and Russell, have been together for 20 years and are winners of Fran's "'Love is Love' Gay Marriage Contest." Drescher will officiate the ceremony to show her support for equal rights in the LGBT community.

The two met at a restaurant that Tom managed. They have two children, and Russell - like Drescher - is a cancer survivor. He would watch episodes of "The Nanny" while receiving treatment and during his recovery, according to a statement from TV Land. The two are now healthy and live in Manhattan with their two children and two dogs.

Drescher's sitcom, "Happily Divorced," is also set to debut its second season on March 7. In the series, the 54-year-old actress plays a Los Angeles florist named Fran who is forced back into the dating pool after learning her husband of 18 years, Peter (John Michael Higgins), is gay. The show was renewed for a second season in July.

The show also stars Tichina Arnold as Fran's best friend and Rita Moreno and Robert Walden as her parents.

The storyline for the show was inspired by Drescher's real-life marriage of 21 years to Peter Marc Jacobson, who came out of the closet after their divorce in 1999. Jacobson and Drescher co-created the series and also worked together on "The Nanny" and "Living With Fran."

The second season of "Happily Divorced" premieres on March 7 at 10:30pm on TV Land.
