The feather-haired blonde bombshell, known best for her role as a sexy detective on the hit 1970s show "Charlies Angels", died of anal cancer at age 62 on June 25, 2009 - the same day Michael Jackson, Tatum O'Neal's ex-boyfriend, died at age 50.

Farrah Fawcett's red swimsuit from her iconic 1976 poster will join the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History collection on Wednesday, on what would have been her 64th birthday, reports The Associated Press.

The suit was presented by Fawcett's longtime companion Ryan O'Neal. The actor says the former "Charlie's Angels" star always intended to give her suit to the museum. "They asked her years ago for the bathing suit," he told the wire service. "So it was always in her plan."
