'Family Guy' bringing back Brian the dog for Christmas episode?
Could Brian be returning to "Family Guy"?
The fan favorite character met his demise earlier this season during the Nov. 24 episode "Life of Brian." The Griffin's family dog was hit by a car during the episode and died from his wounds. The family members then went and got a new dog, Vinnie, portrayed by Tony Sirico of "The Sopranos."
However, Brian reportedly makes an appearance in the show's upcoming Dec. 15 episode, according to Entertainment Weekly. It is not known how the character will return, but the entertainment outlet reports that the character will continue to play a role on the show.
The upcoming episode is titled "Christmas Guy" and Entertainment Weekly reports that the episode synopsis says, "Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas." Fox has not commented on the reports of the character's return.
After Brian's on-screen death, fans launched a petition on Change.org called "Seth MacFarlane, and Fox Broadcasting Company: Bring Brian Griffin back to Family Guy." As of this writing the petition has over 128,000 signatures.
