Eva Longoria gets master's degree, parents attend graduation (Photos)
Eva Longoria recently earned her master's degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and brought along her parents to her graduation.
"In my cap and gown with mom and dad!" the 38-year-old former "Desperate Housewives" actress said on her WhoSay page on Wednesday, May 22. "I look like Harry Potter!"
Longoria, whose parents are Mexican-American, enrolled in CSUN's Chicana and Chicano Studies Master of Arts degree program in 2009. Her major focuses on "the Chicana/o and Latina/o experience in the United States," according to the college's website. Longoria told E! News earlier this month that she was in the process of writing her thesis, which is titled "Success STEMS From Diversity: The Value of Latinas in STEM Careers." "STEM" stands for "science, technology, engineering and mathematics."
Longoria also has a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University.
At her commencement ceremony, Longoria also posed for pictures of herself in her black cap and gown with other graduating students and friends. Check out her photos below.
