Erin Andrews joins Fox Sports as host of college football pregame show
Erin Andrews, former ESPN correspondent and host and former "Dancing With The Stars" finalist, is headed to Fox Sports to host the network's college football pregame show, it was announced on July 1.
Andrews, who left ESPN after eight years when her contract ended late last week, will also reportedly contribute to Fox Sports NFL and Major League Baseball coverage as well as other sports, according to The Associated Press.
Andrews' 30-minute pregame show will premiere on September 1. Previously, she was the co-host of "College GameDay" on ESPN and was an occasional contributor on "Good Morning America." The 34-year-old reporter took to her official Twitter page to tell her followers about the news.
"It is official ... I'm going to @FOXsports," she wrote on July 1. "An incredible opportunity for me & cannot wait to start! CFB kickoff is two months from today!"
She later added, "Going to miss my @ESPN family and the@collegegameday crew. Will always appreciate everything all of you did for me.#Respect#ThankYou."
Andrews appeared on the 10th season of "Dancing With The Stars" in 2010. She was partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and they ended the competition in third place.
The reporter previously made headlines in May when it was rumored that she was dating 26-year-old "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford, however, her spokesperson denied the reports that the two were an item.
ESPN and ABC are owned by Disney, the parent company of OnTheRedCarpet.com.
