Enrique Iglesias congratulates Marco Antonio Solis on Hollywood Walk of Fame honor
Multi-Latin Grammy Award-winner and Marco Antonio Solisrecieved a star in the recording category on Hollywood's Walk of Fameon Thursday. Thousands of fans gathered in front of Madame Tussauds wax museum to honor "The Artist of the Decade" as recognized by Billboard Magazine.
Fellow musician and longtime friend of Solis, Enrique Iglesias, told OnTheRedCarpet.com, "I think it's a great honor." Iglesias added, "He is an amazing song writer, amazing artist, and he's always been there for the whole Latin community."
For those who don't know, Solis has enjoyed over 30 years of success and has redefined Hispanic music throughout the world as a singer. As a composer his songs have influenced many performers from all types of musical genres. He has recorded more than 20 albums and has written over 300 songs. He has earned Gold and Platinum albums in the United States, Mexico and Latin America throughout his long musical career.
Iglesias and Solis began to know each other when Iglesias was just starting out in his musical career. The two were on the same record label and Iglesias gushes, "I'm a huge fan."
