Emma Bunton welcomes baby boy, Tate, with fiance Jade Jones
Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice from the British all-girl pop group Spice Girls, and her fiance, singer Jade Jones, recently welcomed their second child, a son named Tate.
The two also have another son, Beau, who is 3. Bunton 35, and Jones, a 32-year-old singer and chef, have been together for some 11 years and announced in January that they had gotten engaged.
"Our beautiful son Tate has arrived safe and sound!" Bunton said on her Twitter page on Friday, May 6. "We are all so happy and excited. Thanks and love to you all. Xx"
Tate was born the same day, the UK newspaper the Daily Mail quoted the couple as saying in a statement.
Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, is currently pregnant with her third child, which will be her first with husband Stephen Belafonte. She announced the news in March. The singer has two daughters, including one with actor Eddie Murphy.
Brown congratulated Bunton on her recent delivery, saying on her Twitter page on Friday: "@EmmaBunton congrats my love to your beautiful family, welcome baby tate!!"
Fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, and her husband, soccer star David Beckham, are currently expecting their fourth child, a girl. Both she and Brown are expected to give birth around July.
The Beckhams, who are parents to three sons, recently attended the Royal Wedding between the United Kingdom's Prince William and Kate, now known officially as Catherine (see photos of celebrities at the wedding).
