Eminem had the best-selling album of 2010; Lady Antebellum nabs second place
Eminem's return to music was a huge success story of 2010 and now the rapper has another win under his belt: the best-selling album of 2010.
The rapper's "Recovery" album sold moved 3.4 million units since its June release, reports the Associated Press which quotes Nielsen SoundScan.
"Recovery" also earned the rapper 10 Grammy Award nominations in December.
In second place is Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now." That record sold 3.1 million records. The group cleaned up at the 2010 Country Music Association Awards earning two statues for Single of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.
Taylor Swift, who was named "Entertainer of the Year" by Entertainment Weekly came in third place. Her third album, "Speak Now," which was released in late October, sold 2.96 million copies.
Justin Bieber's "My World 2.0" and Susan Boyle's "The Gift" round out last year's Top 5 albums.
As for the top singles, "California Gurls" topped the list. The Katy Perry hit featuring Snoop Dogg sold more than 4.4 million tracks in 2010. The iTunes top single "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train came in second place, while the Eminem and Rihanna collaboration "Love the Way You Lie" lands in third place.
