Emily Deschanel, David Hornsby expecting first child

Emily Deschanel of the FOX series "Bones" is pregnant with her first child, it was reported on Thursday, March 31, six months after she married actor David Hornsby.

Deschanel, 34, and Hornsby, who played Matthew "Rickety Cricket" Mara on FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," wed on Sept. 25, 2010 in posh Pacific Palisades near Los Angeles after dating since 2007.

Deschanel is due to give birth later this year, according to People magazine. Her spokesperson confirmed the report.

Deschanel, whose sister is actress Zooey Deschanel, has played Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan on "Bones,"which premiered in 2005 and stars David Boreanaz. The series airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. on FOX and is currently on its sixth season.
