Thousands of Elvis Presley's fans gathered Monday night at his grave in Graceland to mark the 34th anniversary of his death.
Fans from around the world dressed in Elvis costumes or just his trademark sunglasses and sideburns as they walked in the humid night in Memphis, Tenn., according to the Associated Press.
The candlelight vigil, which was to extend past midnight and into Tuesday morning, is the main draw of "Elvis Week."
The "King of Rock n' Roll" was found dead in the bathroom of his mansion on Aug. 16, 1977. He was 42.
Fans have been traveling to Graceland every year since Elvis' death. It became an organized event in 1982, the Associated Press reports.
