Elton John and David Furnish welcome baby boy
Elton John and David Furnish have welcomed their second child.
The baby boy was born Friday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center near Los Angeles, according to the birth certificate obtained by OTRC.com.
"Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable," the singer told Hello! magazine on January 15. "The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement."
The couple welcomed Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John at 6:40 p.m. on Friday, January 11. The baby boy, who weighed in at 8 pounds and 4 ounces, was born in Los Angeles via a surrogate, according to the magazine.
The 65-year-old musician and Furnish, who wed in 2005 after spending 12 years together, already share 2-year-old son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.
John is a legendary English rock performer who is known for his outlandish clothing as well as for his numerous hits such as "Blue Eyes," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Your Song." His numerous endeavors have made him one of the most successful selling artists of all time.
