Eddie Cibrian defends LeAnn Rimes after weight criticism, says she's 'far from unhealthy'
Eddie Cibrian, star of NBC's new show "The Playboy Club," has defended his wife, country singer LeAnn Rimes, following criticism by many people about her weight loss.
Rimes has appeared slimmer in recent months and has vented about critics on her Twitter page, where she has also often posted photos of herself wearing a bikini, as well as pictures of fattening dishes she says she has consumed.
"It bothers me because, obviously, I know she's healthy," Cibrian said on the television show "Access Hollywood" recently. "She eats more than I do sometimes. "She eats pretty healthy, but she works out pretty hard too and she actually takes pride in the way she looks and it's a shame that people will jump on the bandwagon just because she is fit. And she's far from unhealthy."
"She works out like crazy," he added. "She works out hard. She boxes. She trains. She's in fantastic shape and very healthy and I love the way she looks."
Rimes said in August that a stranger came up to her while she, Cibrian, his sons and his parents were dining at a restaurant in Chicago and told her "lots of folks think you're getting too thin."
