Dustin Hoffman, 75, treated for cancer
Dustin Hoffman has undergone successful surgery to treat cancer, OTRC.com has confirmed.
A spokesperson for the 75-year-old two-time Oscar-winning actor told People magazine that his ailment was "detected early" and that he is set to undergo doctor-recommended preventative treatments to minimize the chance of a recurrence. No further details were provided
"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," the rep said. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."
Hoffman, who won Oscars for the films "Rain Man" and "Kramer vs. Kramer," recently finished filming the comedy movie "Chef," which is directed by Jon Favreau, and is due to shoot two more flicks later this year, People reported.
Hoffman is set to celebrate his 76th birthday on Thursday, Aug. 8.
