'Dumb and Dumber To': First image released (Photo)
Here they are -- and they look as awesomely dumb and hilarious as always!
The first image from the highly-anticipated "Dumb and Dumber" sequel, "Dumb and Dumber To," has been released. The picture was posted on the new comedy movie's official Twitter page this week and shows BFFs Lloyd Christmas, played by Jim Carrey, and Harry Dunne, portrayed by Jeff Daniels, sitting on a statue of a deer. Both appear to be having great fun and Dunne is holding a brown paper package.
"Lloyd and Harry are back for an all new ride!" the caption reads. "#DumbTo is out in theaters November 14th!"
"Dumb and Dumber To" is set 20 years after "Dumb and Dumber," which was released in 1994, and sees Christmas and Dunne searching for one of their long-lost children in a bid to score a new kidney.
The new movie also stars Laurie Holden, who played Andrea on the AMC show "The Walking Dead," as Adele Pichlow, the main antagonist, and Kathleen Turner as Fraida Felcher, the girl the men once fought over and had referenced in the first film.
"Dumb and Dumber To" began filming in Atlanta in September. Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly shared a Vine video of Daniels in character at the time (watch it below).
The original "Dumb and Dumber" movie was released in 1994 and focused on the hijinks that ensued when BFFs Lloyd, played by Jim Carrey, and Harry, portrayed by Jeff Daniels, began a heroic quest to return what they think is a forgotten suitcase to a woman in Aspen. The movie made $247 million worldwide.
""When I first did 'Dumb and Dumber,' I was shocked by the amount of money that I was making," Carrey told OTRC.com late last fall. "So I didn't want to get safe, as an artist, so I took my Bic lighter and I popped out my bonding and cut my head with a bowl cut and the producers came."
