Drew Carey set to be inducted to the WWE hall of fame
Yes, that headline is correct. Comedian and "The Price is Right" host Drew Carey is set to be inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame on April 2.
Carey will be joining the ranks of Pete Rose, sportscaster Bob Uecker and football player William "Refrigerator" Perry.
Other WWE superstars set to be honored that night will include Shawn Michaels a.k.a "The Heartbreak Kid" and WWE Diva Sunny.
The game show host made headlines over the summer when he showed off a slimmer look. Carey says he lost around 80 pounds since January of 2010 to go from a size 44 pants to a 33-34.
Carey's induction will air with the one-hour TV special set to air Monday April 4 on the USA network. The special will air just a day after Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is set to return to the wrestling arena and will host WrestleMania XXVII on April 3 in Atlanta.
The 38-year-old, who stars in the new "Fast and the Furious" film "Fast Five," did not specify if he plans to compete in the popular professional wrestling pay-per-view event, produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. Johnson left wrestling in 2004 to concentrate on his acting career but has made occasional appearances on WWE programs throughout the past few years.
"The Rock has come back to Wrestlemania. The most electrifying man in all of entertainment hosting the most electrifying event in all of entertainment," Johnson said in a video message, before raising his right eyebrow, his signature gesture known as "the People's Eyebrow."
