Demi Moore returns to Twitter after 3 month absence
Demi Moore has returned to Twitter with a hopeful message, after reportedly undergoing treatment at a rehab center in Utah and taking a Caribbean vacation following her split from Ashton Kutcher.
The 49-year-old actress, who still retains her Twitter username mrskutcher, posted a self-portrait, taken from above with the caption, "Testing..." In the photo, which was the first post in over three months, she is shown lying in bed wearing glasses, a casual outfit and shoes.
Moore also posted a photo of the ocean and sky with the message, "I saw a piece of heaven smile at me and was reminded it is not how much we do but the appreciation with which we do it! "
Much has been made of the fact that Moore, who separated from Ashton Kutcher in November, retained her Twitter handle. The actress addressed the controversy, telling fans that it wasn't a big priority.
"Changing my twitter name isn't a top priority right now," Moore, who lives in Los Angeles, Tweeted on December 14. "Sorry it bothers so many of u. should I not tweet until I do? Does it really matter?"
She was said to have completed a rehab stint at the famed Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah earlier this month. Her spokesperson said the actress, who appeared frail in photos last year, was dealing with exhaustion, while several reports said she was seeking treatment for an addiction to undisclosed substances and an eating disorder.
Moore entered the rehab center a week after she was rushed to a Los Angeles medical facility on January 23. A censored recording of a shocking 911 call made from her home prior to her hospitalization was released to the media (listen to it here).
Moore announced in November that she had decided to end her six-year marriage to Kutcher, 34. The two have not yet filed divorce papers.
