Demi Moore makes first public appearance since treatment
Demi Moore made her first public appearance in several months on Tuesday night, attending the premiere of her new Lifetime series, "The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet."
The 49-year-old actress looked healthy and happy at the premiere of the series, where she serves as Executive Producer. "The Conversation" is set to premiere on Lifetime on April 26 and features intimate celebrity interviews hosted by British TV personality and photographer Amanda de Cadenet.
De Cadenet posted a photo of the pair at the premiere on her official Tumblr page with the caption, "Love my pal @mrskutcher she makes me smile. Fun night celebrating @theconversation."
Moore's appearance arrived the day two days after her return to Twitter, after reportedly undergoing treatment at a rehab center in Utah and taking a Caribbean vacation following her split from Ashton Kutcher.
The actress, who still retains her Twitter username mrskutcher, announced on Tuesday that she is finally ready to drop the name.
"Time for a change, twitter name change... any suggestions?" Moore asked her 4.9 million followers on Twitter.
Moore received one suggestion from British CNN host Piers Morgan who suggested, "How about mrsmorgan?" to which the actress quipped, "I think that one is taken!"
In her comeback Tweet on Sunday, Moore posted a self-portrait, taken from above with the caption, "Testing..." In the photo, which was the first post in over three months, she is shown lying in bed wearing glasses, a casual outfit and shoes.
Much has been made of the fact that Moore, who separated from Ashton Kutcher in November, retained her Twitter handle. The actress addressed the controversy, telling fans that it wasn't a big priority.
"Changing my twitter name isn't a top priority right now," Moore, who lives in Los Angeles, Tweeted on December 14. "Sorry it bothers so many of u. should I not tweet until I do? Does it really matter?"
She was said to have completed a rehab stint at the famed Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah earlier this month. Her spokesperson said the actress, who appeared frail in photos last year, was dealing with exhaustion, while several reports said she was seeking treatment for an addiction to undisclosed substances and an eating disorder.
Moore entered the rehab center a week after she was rushed to a Los Angeles medical facility on January 23. A censored recording of a shocking 911 call made from her home prior to her hospitalization was released to the media (listen to it here).
Moore announced in November that she had decided to end her six-year marriage to Kutcher, 34. The two have not yet filed divorce papers.
