Demi Moore is seeking treatment for exhaustion
Demi Moore has entered treatment for exhaustion, OnTheRedCarpet.com has learned.
"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," the actress' spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com on Tuesday, January 24. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends. We have no information beyond our statement."
The 49-year-old actress said in a statement on November 17 that she had decided to end her six-year marriage to Kutcher, 33.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Fire Department told People magazine that they received an emergency call at 10:49 p.m. for someone at Moore's address but did not confirm if it was the actress.
"We transported at least one patient to a local hospital. The patient was transported at 11:21 p.m," the spokesperson told the magazine.
TMZ.com was the first to report that the actress had been hospitalized.
Earlier this month, Moore opened up in an interview with Harper's Bazaar for the magazine's February issue, which was conducted just a week after she filed for divorce from Kutcher. In the interview, Moore talked about her "love-hate" relationship with her body and her fears about love.
"I have had a love-hate relationship with my body," the 49-year-old actress said in an interview featured in the magazine with Amanda De Cadenet, who co-produces a Lifetime Television series called "The Conversation" with Moore. The series is set to premiere in the spring.
Moore continued, "I think I sit today in a place of greater acceptance of my body, and that includes not just my weight but all of the things that come with your changing body as you age to now experiencing my body as extremely thin -- thin in a way that I never imagined somebody would be saying to me, 'You're too thin, and you don't look good.'"
