Demi Moore checked into Utah treatment center, report says
Demi Moore has reportedly checked into the Cirque Lodge treatment facility in Sundance, Utah to deal with addiction and an eating disorder.
According to E! News, Moore checked into the Cirque Lodge treatment facility in Sundance, Utah a week after she was rushed to the hospital on January 23. A source told the entertainment outlet that the actree is on "total lockdown" and only talking to a few people while being treated for addiction issues and an eating disorder.
While many entertainment outlets speculated that Moore was in her home in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles, and reported that Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher had visited, E! News reports that Moore packed her belongings and was taken to Utah.
"It became clear to her that her way of coping with her stress was not working and she needed more help," the source added.
Moore, who has appeared thinner than usual in recent months, was taken to a Los Angeles medical center on Monday, January 23, after Los Angeles City Fire Department received a 911 call from her home.
An edited recorded of the 911 call made from Moore's home was released. An unidentified woman tells the dispatcher that "Demi" "smoked something. It's not marijuana but it's ... similar to incense. And she seems to be having convulsions of some sort." (Listen to the 911 call).
Rumer Willis has also not commented on reports that say she was one of several people who witnessed the event. Two women, who are not her, and a man are heard speaking to the dispatcher during the 911 call.
Moore's spokesperson had said after the event: "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Moore, 49, announced in November that she had decided to end her six-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher, 33.
Her personal turmoil prompted her to drop out of the film "Lovelace." She was set to play feminist activist Gloria Steinem in the movie, which is about the life of porn star Linda Lovelace. A spokesperson for the film told OnTheRedCarpet.com that Sarah Jessica Parker, 46, would take Moore's place.
Rumer Willis's father is Moore's ex-husband, actor Bruce Willis. The former couple have three daughters - Rumer, 23, Tallulah, who turned 18 on February 3, and Scout, 20.
Moore was conspicuously missing from Tallulah's 18th birthday party on Friday night, which was held in Bruce Willis' Los Angeles home.
