Dean Cain is likely best known for playing Clark Kent in the 1990s series "Lois & Clark: the New Adventures of Superman," but with his new role on the Hallmark Channel television movie, he'll be taking on a different kind of hero.
Cain plays Army Colonel Griff Carson, a U.S. solider who returns from Germany on a two-month leave. His wife Janet, played by Kristy Swanson, assigns him to help her run her cupcake shop hoping to keep him busy while on leave. Griff attempts to take a military approach to the business and soon runs into trouble.

Okay, not really. But the 45-year-old actor is one of the celebrity cast members on the FOX summer dating series "The Choice," which premieres on Thursday, June 7 at 9 p.m. ET. Cain joins the likes of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and DJ Pauly D of MTV reality show "Jersey Shore," pop star Joe Jonas, Rob Kardashian and "American Idol" season 3 winner Taylor Hicks.

Cain, a 45-year-old actor who played Superman on the 1990s action series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," made his comments at the recent Los Angeles premiere of Cavill's new film, "Immortals," which was released on Friday November 11.
