David Arquette says he's staying sober after car crash, not taking pain medication
Actor David Arquette is taking his sobriety seriously. The actor, who was in a car accident on March 4, wrote on his official Twitter page, "Refused all pain medication-may the record state- still sober!"
The 39-year-old actor was driving his silver Cadillac in the West Hollywood area when a vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly, TMZ reported, posting photos of Arquette lying on a grassy area on the side of the road. The actor then swerved to the left into oncoming traffic and hit a car going in the opposite direction, it said.
"I got into a car accident but I'm fine," Arquette said on his Twitter page. He then referenced the phrase "Tiger Blood" troubled actor Charlie Sheen has used in recent on-air interviews and rants, saying, "Luckily I have dragon's blood running through my veins. Haha Thank you for all your concern. Remember to wear your seatbelt-wish I was."
His spokesperson confirmed the report and said: "He's OK and on his way to be treated."
A Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson said rescue officials responded to a traffic accident at the same time and transported one person to a hospital in Beverly Hills. He was in stable condition, a spokesperson said.
