David Arquette says he 'shared too much' about his marriage on Howard Stern
"I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing," Arquette Tweeted on Wednesday. "But while doing that I shared too much.""It's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings," he added. "But in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled."
During his interview with Stern, the 39-year-old actor revealed that he and wife Courteney Cox "have not have sex in quite .. by that time a month or so." Arquette elaborated, "Since then it's been like four months or so. We're not having sex and I completely understand. She's in a ... a place of wanting to be real and emotional, she's an emotional being. She's an amazing woman. If it doesn't feel right, she doesn't feel like bonding in that way."
Arquette and Cox, 46, announced their "trial separation" on Monday. They married in June 1999 and have a six-year-old daughter named Coco.
Arquette and Cox recently filmed a fourth installment of the Scream horror franchise.
"We got a trial separation a while ago," Arquette said during the interview on The Howard Stern Show. "Not a full-on separation or anything but after the 11th year anniversary, she gave me a motorcycle and she said, 'I don't want to be your mother anymore.' I got it. We go to do Scream 4 and I'm feeling distance, obviously, from my wife."
He assured his Twitter followers on Wednesday, "I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we've learned."
