Daniel Radcliffe rehearses for Broadway musical debut, 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'
Daniel Radcliffe is revving up rehearsals for the opening of his Broadway musical debut in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
The "Harry Potter" actor, who famously stripped down to star in the play "Equus" in London and Broadway in the past few years, will make his return to the stage to play J. Pierrepont Finch in a revival of "How To Succeed...," based on a satirical self-help book.
In the musical, Radcliffe's character is a window washer who uses the titular book to climb the ranks at the World Wide Wickets Company in New York City. Previews begin on February 26 and the show opens officially on March 27 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
The cast also includes Emmy winners John Larroquette ("Night Court") and Tammy Blanchard ("Gypsy," "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows"). The musical is directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford ("Thoroughly Modern Millie").
Daniel Radcliffe is also set to star in the film "The Woman in Black," based on the book by Susan Hill, his spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com. In the movie, set for release on October 28, Radcliffe will play Arthur Kipps, a lawyer who travels to a village to settle the estate of a deceased client and discovered the place is haunted by the ghost of a scorned woman out for revenge.
Radcliffe can be seen next in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," which sees the final showdown between teen wizard Harry Potter and the evil wizard Voldemort. Part 1 was released on November 19 and the second part will hit theaters on on July 15, 2011.
