The new cast of "Dancing With the Stars" season 12 has been announced and some big names will be hitting the ballroom floor including actress Kirstie Alley, reality star Kendra Wilkinson, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, "Loveline" co-host and KROQ radio DJ Mike Catherwood, talk show host Wendy Williams and WWE wrestler Chris Jericho.

Former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, rapper Romeo, the original "Karate Kid" star Ralph Macchio, "Jonas L.A." and "Fish Hooks" star Chelsea Kane and model Petra Nemcova will also be lacing up their dancing shoes when the show kicks off on ABC on Monday, March 21.

Romeo is the son of "Dancing With the Stars" season two contestant Master P. Mike Catherwood, who goes by the DJ name of "Psycho Mike," recently guest hosted on "Regis & Kelly." Kendra Wilkinson is best known for her stint on the E! reality series "Girls Next Door" and now stars in her own reality show "Kendra." Petra Nemcova made headlines in 2004 when she was injured in the tsunami in Thailand. Her then fiancé Simon Atlee was killed in the disaster.

The new cast was announced during "The Bachelor" on Monday. The professional dancers for the season have not been announced but one pro that will not be around for the 12th season is three-time winner Derek Hough.

"I'm taking season 12 off," Hough told People magazine back in January. "I will be making it back to 'Dancing With the Stars' in the fall. I'm just taking a little break and taking this chance to grow and expand a little bit as an artist."

Hough will be taking this season off to star in the upcoming dance movie, "Cobu 3D," which is being produced by Lionsgate and CJ Entertainment and will film in New York and Toronto this spring.

"We wish Derek the best as he takes time off from 'Dancing with the Stars' to pursue his film career and look forward to having him return to the show in the Fall," said the show's executive producer Conrad Green in a statement to OnTheRedCarpet.com.

Hough has won three seasons of "Dancing With the Stars," including the 11th season with actress Jennifer Grey and 10th season with partner Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls. He also won the seventh season with Brooke Burke, who is now a co-host of the series along with Tom Bergeron.

Season 12 of "Dancing With the Stars" returns on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET with a two-hour premiere and "Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show" premieres the following week Tuesday, March 29 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
