'Dancing With the Stars' cast to be revealed on Monday during 'Bachelor Pad'
The cast of the 11th season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars is set to be revealed on Monday, August 30, during the dating show Bachelor Pad, which airs between 8 and 10 p.m. ET.
Brooke Burke told OnTheRedCarpet.com last week that she and co-host Tom Bergeron do not know who will compete on the ballroom dancing competition series, which is set to debut on September 20.
People reported to have signed on as contestants include Bristol Palin, the 19-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, David Hasselhoff, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from MTV's raunchy reality show Jersey Shore, Audrina Patridge of MTV reality show The Hills, which ended in July and singers Brandy and Michael Bolton.Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller's Day Off actress Jennifer Grey, Brady Bunch matriarch Florence Henderson, NFL stars Troy Aikman and Kurt Warner, actor and basketball star Rick Fox, and Lindsay Lohan, who recently ended jail and rehab stints, have also been named.
ABC has refused to comment on the cast reports. The series pairs celebrities with professional ballroom dancers, such as Lacey Schwimmer, who confirmed on her Twitter page that she will be on the show. Schwimmer's colleague, Damian Whitewood, who danced with Pamela Anderson last season, said he will only be on the results episodes.
Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls won the previous 10th season along with Derek Hough.
Kirstie Alley, an actress who starred in the Look Who's Talking films as well as the sitcom Cheers and two shows based loosely on her life and weight struggles, has said that contrary to some reports, she will not join Dancing With the Stars next season because she is "way too chicken".
