Dakota Johnson dons red at 'Django Unchained' premiere - What do you think?
Dakota Johnson, the 23-year-old daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, shined at the red carpet premiere of "Django Unchained" in New York City on December 11.
The actress, who currently stars on the Fox comedy "Ben and Kate," appeared in a sleeveless red dress, black tights and black patent leather heels. She walked the red carpet with dad Don Johnson, who appears in the film.
"Django Unchained" tells the tale of slave in the south named Django (played by Jamie Foxx) who is recruited by a dentist turned bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to help kill a gang of murders known as the Brittle Brothers.
Django is the only person who has seen them without masks on. For his help, Schultz will give Django his freedom and help him free his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), from a plantation slave owner named Calvin Candie (DiCaprio). Don Johnson plays a character named Spencer "Big Daddy" Bennett.
"Django Unchained" earned five Golden Globe nominations on Thursday, December 13, in categories like Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for both Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz and Best Screenplay - Motion Picture for writer/director Quentin Tarantino.
Dakota Johnson has also had roles in films like "The Social Network," "Beastly," "21 Jump Street" and "The Five-Year Engagement." She made her film debut alongside her mother in the 1999 film "Crazy in Alabama," which was directed by her step-father Antonio Banderas.
