Cybill Shepherd, 62, engaged to psychologist Andrei Nikolajevic
Cybill Shepherd has confirmed that she is engaged to her boyfriend, psychologist Andrei Nikolajevic.
"I'm engaged," the 62-year-old actress told the New York Daily News. "He was a jeweler. Now, he's a psychologist. He's Serbian."
The "Client List" actress told the Post that Nikolajevic proposed a few weeks ago in New York.
"It was very romantic and on one knee," Shepherd said of Nikolajevic, who she met through friends. "I never thought I'd get married again."
Shepherd has been married twice, to David M. Ford and chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim. Both relationships ended in divorce. She had three children during the marriages - Clementine Ford and twins Cyrus Zachariah and Molly Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim.
Shepherd made headlines in April after revealing that she almost got intimate with her "Moonlighting" co-star Bruce Willis, before his marriage to Demi Moore.
"We had a little romance," Shepherd told Access Hollywood of Willis. "Not too much, just enough... He showed up like he wanted to [have sex] and then I said, 'We shouldn't,' and then he said, 'We shouldn't,' and so we didn't... We worked so long together, it was probably better not to."
Shepherd and Willis portrayed private detectives Maddie Hayes and David Addison on the ABC dramedy series which ran from 1985 until 1989. The series depicted the pair engaging in witty banter and highlighted the sexual tension between the characters.
Shepherd also revealed near romances with Robert DeNiro (who asked her to have barbeque) and Jack Nicholson and opened up about her past romances with Don Johnson and Elvis. Of the music legend she said, "He was a great lover" and joked, "The man loved to eat, but there was one thing he wouldn't eat... until he met me."
Shepherd currently portrays Jennifer Love Hewitt's mother on the new Lifetime series "The Client List," which premiered on April 8 and was renewed for a second season in May.
"Jennifer and I are both from Texas. Jennifer has the best essence of a Texas woman," Shepherd told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the show's recent premiere. "She has incredible strength, she also has incredible beauty and she's very smart and she's going to really do what she has to do and do it smart. Her character is a lot like that and my character is a whole lot like that too. I love her and it's like a key relationship. We're partners - mother-daughter partners."
