Courtney Love Tweets apology to Frances Bean Cobain: 'Sorry I believed the gossip'
Courtney Love took to her official Twitter page to apologize to her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, for causing a bit of a media storm by claiming that the late Kurt Cobain's former band mate Dave Grohl made a pass at Frances Bean Cobain.
The trouble started after Love ranted on her private Twitter account that she heard from a former roommate of Frances Bean Cobain's that Grohl hit on the singer's daughter.
According to Gawker, one Twitter message read, "I hear from frannies roommate that [David Grohl] hit on frances, and that she was curious, I'm not mad at her, him i am about to shoot, dead."
Kurt Cobain and Grohl played together in the band Nirvana. Frances Bean Cobain spoke to Us Weekly and defended Grohl saying," I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way."
She also said, "Twitter should ban my mother."
Love wrote on her official public Twitter page on April 14, "Bean, sorry I believed the gossip.. Mommy loves you."
Frances Bean Cobain, a 19-year-old model who is the only child of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, is reportedly engaged to 26-year-old Rambles front man Isaiah Silva. Cobain and Silva have been dating for more than a year and have not commented on the engagement report.
