Courteney Cox says she and David Arquette not divorcing

Courteney Cox says she and David Arquette are not getting divorced and was not shocked her actor-husband shared intimate details of their personal life on Howard Stern's raunchy radio show.

Arquette and Cox, 46, announced their trial separation in October.

The couple married in June 1999 and have a six-year-old daughter named Coco. The pair also stars together in Scream 4, which is due for release on April 15, 2011.

"I would say the most courageous thing, and this is really personal, but I would say getting separated from someone after so many years of marriage and someone I love so much, just to take a moment and this is a trial separation," Cox told Australia's TV Week magazine.

"This is no I am not we're not I don't know what will happen, but this is not like we're getting divorced," she said. This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. That's for sure the biggest thing I've ever done. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.

Arquette, 39, told Stern on his SIRIUS XM satellite radio show after the couple announced their trial separation that he and Cox had not been intimate in months. The actor later issued a public apology on his Twitter page for his comments.

"Sometimes you just realize 'Wow, we actually have grown apart,'" Cox said. "He's [David] a kook. It's not shocking and Howard Stern he loves him and I'm a fan of Howard Stern. I don't know that I would call him right now, but ... David is an entertainer and Im sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories."

Cox also denied reports the two had an open marriage and says her former Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston, who divorced Brad Pitt in 2005 and guest-starred on Cox's ABC show Cougar Town earlier this year, has been helping her cope with her situation.

"We just have fun, we laugh, we're inseparable and its great," Cox said. "Its funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer [who] has gone through it. I don't know whats going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don't know whats going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure."
