Courteney Cox hasn't had sex since split with David Arquette?
Courteney Cox might be heading towards an engagement on her show "Cougar Town," but the actress claimed on Howard Stern's radio show that her real love life isn't as action-packed.
"I've not had a man since David," Cox told the shock jock, after telling him that she has maintained the vow of abstinence she made the last time she was on the show.
Cox and Arquette announced in October 2010 that they had agreed to a trial separation. The couple met on the set of the 1996 horror film "Scream." Arquette, 40, and Cox, 47, married in June 1999 and have a daughter named Coco.
"I've made out with one guy," the actress admitted on the Sirius XM talk show. But when Stern asked if it was "that guy from the show" Josh Hopkins, her on-screen boyfriend who she was romantically linked to last Spring, the actress only answered "Maybe."
But Cox claims that she hasn't had suitors trying to break down her door.
"No guy's asked me out. I'm not saying I'm not ready to have a make-out session, it just makes me nervous," Cox said. "I don't like to go out in general... I have sexual feelings, there's ways to deal with that. It's time for me to get out there. It's not easy to meet people. They don't call me."
Meanwhile, Arquette was romantically linked to "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis' ex-wife Christina McLarty in September and told Howard Stern that he is "not one to run around with different girls."
Cox met McLarty and told Stern, "I met her, she's really nice, she's really pretty...She had a good sense of humor, she was nice. Very tall, I'm not. Very young, I'm not."
Stern, never one to leave any awkward leaves unturned, asked Cox if she still held a flame for Arquette.
"Um, this is awkward, because I actually probably feel like his girlfriend's listening, besides the millions of other people. There is a huge part of me that... there's a huge part of my life with David, no question, but I feel like right now our relationship is probably better than it would be if we lived together, it's definitely better than it used to be. We communicate better, we have much more respect for each other, we listen. It's hard... He even says to me, 'Courteney, it's time, get out there.' He's comfortable with whoever that would be with."
Arquette appeared on the recent 13th season of ABC's reality dancing competition "Dancing With The Stars" and is set to guest star on the season finale of "Cougar Town" as a "hotel concierge who offers to help Jules and the gang with literally anything."
Earlier in the month, it was announced that "Cougar Town" would return to ABC's midseason schedule, replacing the cross-dressing comedy "Work It," which was canceled after airing two episodes. The show featured two men dressing up as women in order to find work and received criticism from LGBT advocacy organizations.
"Cougar Town" will join ABC's Tuesday comedy block on Valentine's Day, February 14, with an episode entitled, "Ain't Love Strange."
"Cougar Town" debuted in 2009 and stars Cox as a wine-loving Florida real estate agent and follows her relationship with her neighbors, son, ex-husband and co-workers.
"Cougar Town" is set to return at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 14 on ABC.
