Cory Monteith's final roles: New photo from 'McCanick' film released
A new photo of Cory Monteith from what would become one of the late actor's final acting projects, the indie crime drama film "McCanick," has been released.
The Canadian star died at age 31 from an overdose of heroin and alcohol on July 13. Monteith filmed "McCanick" last year and plays an ex-con and drug addict named Simon Weeks who is hunted down by a narcotics detective named Eugene "Mack" McCanick, portrayed by David Morse.
In the photo, Monteith sports shoulder-length hair under a hoodie as he is confronted by a bald man.
Monteith also appears in another upcoming movie, the comedy "All The Wrong Reasons." Both films are set to debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
