Clint Eastwood's tsunami film 'Hereafter' ends Japan screenings
03/14/2011 by Corinne Heller
Clint Eastwood's tsunami movie "Hereafter" will no longer be shown in Japan following the country's recent earthquake, which is believed to have killed almost 10,000 people.
Warner Entertainment Japan Inc. official Satoru Otani told the Associated Press that the tsunami scenes in the movie, which opened in the country in February, were "not appropriate" at this time.
The film was released in the United States in October and stars Matt Damon, Cecile De France and Bryce Dallas Howard. "Hereafter" tells of a blue-collar American, a French journalist and a British student who are touched by death in different ways.
