'Chuck' spoilers: Linda Hamilton joins season 4 report says
It was just announced at Comic-Con that Terminator star Linda Hamilton has joined the cast of Chuck according to The Hollywood Reporter. She joins Dolph Lundgren of Rocky IV and Masters of the Universe and Harry Dean Stanton, who recently starred in Big Love, on the fourth season of NBC spy sitcom, which premieres on September 20.
Executive producer Josh Schwartz said, "She's been such an icon as an action-female badass mom. The fans put it out there, and she heard about it, and was like, 'I heard I'm Chuck's mom.'"
Hamilton will make a brief appearance in the season opener that also features Lundgren and Stanton as well as Olivia Munn and Old Spice commercial star Isaiah Mustafa.
Lundgren will play a villain who tries to "break" leading character Chuck Bartowski, a computer repair whiz-turned-spy, while Stanton will portray a man who comes between Bartowski and his search for his mother in the episode, titled "Chuck vs. the Anniversary," Entertainment Weekly recently said.
Hamilton has mostly done voice work in addition to occasional guest spots on shows like Frasier and According to Jim since her role as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise. It was also recently announced that she will join the cast of Weedsas an eco-conscious marijuana grower in Seattle, Wa, helping out Mary Louise-Parker's character Nancy Botwin.
