(Photo credit: PRNewsFoto/Iconix Brand Group) Christina Hendricks, who plays the voluptuous Joan Harris on the series Mad Men, stars in a sexy fall 2010 ad campaign for clothing manufacturer London Fog, which says the Emmy-nominated actress was chosen for her "glamorous and sophisticated persona".

Behind-the-scenes photos and videos posted on London Fog's website show the 35-year-old Tennessee native with her hair pinned up like her character. She showcases shapely legs through the opening of a leopard-print trench coat in some pictures and wears a tan jacket and holds an umbrella in others.

She is shot both standing up and sprawled across various pieces of furniture.

"London Fog is a classic brand, which I love," Hendricks said in a statement put out by the manufacturer's parent company, Iconix Brand Group. "It also ties in to Mad Men. We used London Fog in the show and this was a nice way to tie everything together. The trench is such an iconic shape for men and women. It works for anyone - it worked in the 1960s and it works now."

London Fog products, which include coats, handbags, footwear, luggage, are sold in many department stores in the United States.

Hendricks, who is married to actor Geoffrey Arend of the upcoming horror film Devil, has been praised by a UK minister as a positive role model for women. She is nominated for an Emmy this year for her role on Mad Men, which marks her first such nod. Prior to the show, Hendricks had recurring roles in shows such as ER and Firefly.

Mad Men is set in the 1960s and stars Jon Hamm as Don Draper, a troubled, boozing, often womanizing and usually always charismatic partner in a New York City ad firm. Harris is the office manager who commands attention with her striking looks and assertive attitude. The show's fourth season began in July.

Mad Men, which began in 2007, received a total of 17 nominations this year (Check out the list of nominations for the 2010 Primetime Emmys, set to air on August 29). The AMC series has already won 11 Emmys, including two at the recent Creative Arts Emmy Awards, a preliminary ceremony that took place last week.

Iconix Brand Group recently teamed up with Madonna and her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes to produce their "Material Girl" teen clothing line. The singer was recently sued by apparel manufacturer LA Triumph over the rights to use the "Material Girl" name for the collection.
